Canazei’s main slopes are regarded as ‘the bowl’, forming the gateway between the resort and the Sella Ronda circuit and the wider Dolomites ski area.

Advanced skiers will also find plenty to challenge them here with numerous blacks and a great variety of scenic off piste. Advanced skiers will enjoy the slopes of Arabba the most where there a number of long and steep runs. Off piste trails are located on the Marmolada mountain glacier at its peak of 3250m and are highly recommended to be skied with a guide. There are also world championship downhill courses in Val Gardena and La Villa to try out.

Canazei is a snow reliable resort, consistently receiving good snowfall to ensure it remains open from the start all the way to the end of the season. It is also close to Marmolada Glacier which offer superb snow sure skiing and it has 200 snow making machines across all of its local slopes.

Here there are two options: another gondola, the Toé lift, which rises into the main ski area but not to the top of the ridge above, or the Col dei Rossi cable car, which heads up onto the steep and windy ridge. Both of these lifts access the main ski area on this side of the valley - a wide open bowl of intermediate runs above the tree line.
